In Slovenia we have already digitized all meteorological data for the period 1961 till nowadays. We are in process of digitizing data for the period 1852–1961.

The crucial problem in Slovenia is recovering the meteorological data. Due the Slovenian history, our archive still does not possess all the meteorological logbooks etc. for the years 1860–1945. The statistical yearbooks from that time and some other literature are sources from which we made a list of meteorological stations for which the archive material is missing. The list has already been published on the web site of EUMETNET DARE program (https://www.zamg.ac.at/dare/activities/lost-found).

Slovenia is a member of EUMETNET DARE program and MEDARE (WMO) Initiative.
