ACRE Oceans (Japan)

Location, inventory and imaging of historic marine data for ocean and sea areas around Japan.  Data recovered includes voyages to and from the target area, meaning that the oceanic coverage is global.  Data sources are British ships'  logbooks and remark books, with observations recorded on board naval and merchant shipping from the mid 19th century onwards.
